Automotive Innovation

Project Objective:
Rethinking the in-car experience for future mobility, focusing on interaction models such as speech-first systems, BYOD (bring-your-own-device) integration, and autonomous driving scenarios.

My Role:
Creative UX/UI Designer/Generalist, specializing in:
- Concept Development: UX patterns, information architecture, and user-centered interaction concepts.
- Enhanced Wireframes: Designed styled wireframes bridging functionality and aesthetics.
- Collaboration: Co-created solutions with product designers, creative technologists, motion designers, and UX designers.
- High-Fidelity Prototypes: Delivered polished concept screens integrated into user journeys.

Team and Process:
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Worked with teams focusing on hardware prototypes, software/UX/UI, and interior design/hardware button concepts.
- Prototyping: Developed a full-sized “Sitzkiste” (mockup cabin) prototype, blending physical and digital interactions.
- Workshops and Testing: Conducted ideation workshops, iterative design reviews, and user testing to refine solutions.

Deliverables:
- Innovation Showcase: Presented outcomes at the client’s annual Innovation Show to stakeholders and decision-makers. Including: 1. a running prototype for a user journey with high-fidelity screens. 2. User-tested design concepts, iterated based on stakeholder feedback. 3. Concept illustrations and documentation for presentations.

Project Highlights:
- Addressed key challenges in integrating future interactions into BYOD systems and autonomous vehicles.
- Explored user-centric solutions, emphasizing intuitive and adaptable in-car experiences.
- Delivered a tangible prototype, aligning strategic innovation with actionable outcomes.
