Scope: Concept video for internal education on service improvement processes
Overview
This project focused on creating an engaging video to educate ZEISS stakeholders about the potential impact of UX research findings on their service processes. Building on extensive research—including user interviews, service design analysis, and ecosystem mapping—we crafted a visual story that demonstrated how improving processes could elevate customer experiences.
Process
- Research Foundation: Collaborated with the head researcher and project owner to deeply understand the research findings, focusing on a specific service process improvement scenario.
- Storyboarding: Drafted a rough storyboard to outline the video’s narrative, ensuring alignment with the research insights. Refined the storyboard in collaboration with the team to capture both clarity and impact.
- Style Development: Collected and curated moodboards to define the visual language and tone of the video.
- Illustration & Animation: Designed all custom illustrations, ensuring cohesion with ZEISS branding and a clear, user-friendly aesthetic. Worked closely with the motion designer to bring the visuals to life through animation, refining elements for smooth transitions and storytelling.
- Production: Integrated final illustrations, animations, and department-provided audio to create a polished concept video. Despite a tight timeline, the outcome effectively conveyed the envisioned process improvements.
Outcome & Impact
The video served as an essential tool for internal education, helping stakeholders visualize the real-world applications of UX research. It demonstrated how process optimization could enhance efficiency and satisfaction across ZEISS's service landscape, setting a standard for future service design projects.
